Social Media Specialist
Own end-to-end social for three brands — create, post, and engage with your ideas, on camera and behind the keyboard, remotely.
Description
If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love content, and know how to turn ideas into execution, this role is for you. We're hiring a Social Media Specialist to own the execution and day-to-day operations of social media across three connected brands: Rankings.io (our legal marketing agency), Personal Injury Mastermind (our media brand for PI attorneys, including PIMCON), and Chris Dreyer Co. (our founder/personal brand).
This is a role for someone ready to take full ownership of a vertical. You'll be the engine behind our social presence. This includes scheduling, creating, engaging, coordinating, and continuously improving, while our Social Media Manager focuses on strategy, creative direction, performance analysis, and stakeholder management.
You should be equally comfortable behind a keyboard and in front of a camera. We aim to post more videos, and we want a Specialist who can execute briefs from our social strategist with their own creative spin, in addition to assets created by other departments.
The shape of the role: You'll contribute ideas, observations, and creative input. You own execution end-to-end.
Responsibilities
Project Management & Vertical Ownership
Strong project management is non-negotiable in this role. We expect complete ownership of your vertical — proactive task creation, clear timelines, follow-through without being chased, and clean handoffs. Hands-on experience with ClickUp, Monday, Trello, Asana, or similar platforms is required.
Create, assign, and maintain ClickUp tasks for the social team
Manage content pipelines and production timelines across all three brands
Coordinate with internal contributors to capture content, secure approvals, and keep production on schedule
Coordinate logistics for client and industry collaborations: drafting and circulating briefs, tracking deliverables, managing asset handoff, and keeping all parties aligned on timelines
Maintain clear documentation of processes so the workflow doesn't live in one person's head
Content Creation & On-Camera
Comfortable being on camera on a regular (roughly weekly) basis
Execute content briefs from our social strategist — creating content that's recognizably in our brand voice but brings your own creative spin
Bring your own ideas to the table; you'll have meaningful creative input within the strategist's framework
Adapt tone and style appropriately across the three brands (agency / media / founder)
Production Logistics
Coordinate on-the-ground logistics for content recording days
Book recording locations when needed (studios, on-site at events, off-site shoots)
Manage talent schedules, call sheets, and day-of logistics
Ensure equipment, assets, props, and approvals are in place before recording starts
Social Media Operations
Schedule and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Facebook for Rankings.io, PIM, and Chris Dreyer Co. as needed
Maintain and organize the master social content calendar across all three brands
Upload, tag, and organize content assets in our shared libraries
Support platform maintenance, profile optimization, and link hygiene
Support the build-out of PIMCON as its own dedicated channel as needed
Community Management
Monitor comments, DMs, mentions, and tagged content across all brands and platforms daily
Respond to inbound engagement in the appropriate brand voice, on a defined response-time SLA
Drive outbound community management — commenting on partner, client, and target-audience content to build presence and relationships
Escalate leads, reputation concerns, sensitive conversations, or PR risks to the Social Media Manager
Cultivate relationships with industry creators, attorney collaborators, and PIMCON speakers/sponsors
Platform Hygiene & Audience Quality
Conduct routine daily follower review and removal (spam, bots, irrelevant follows)
Monitor for low-quality engagement, impersonation accounts, and policy violations
Maintain audience quality standards so our metrics reflect real reach
Content Support & Repurposing
Repurpose long-form content (newsletters, podcasts, blog posts, PIMCON sessions) into platform-native social formats
Support video publishing workflows including caption writing, thumbnail coordination, and metadata
Cross-promote strategically between brands and assets
Light video editing and content clipping as part of regular workflow
Reporting Support
Pull platform analytics on a regular cadence to support the Social Media Manager's reporting
Maintain reporting dashboards and trackers
Flag notable performance shifts (positive or negative) for analysis
Develop your own performance instincts — you should be able to look at your numbers and make tactical adjustments, even though formal reporting and strategic interpretation sit with the Manager
Trend & Culture Monitoring
Stay current on platform updates, format shifts, and emerging trends across LinkedIn, IG, TikTok, and YouTube
Surface relevant cultural moments, trends, and collaboration opportunities
Maintain a running ideas doc that feeds creative brainstorming
Requirements
3–5 years of hands-on social media experience (agency, in-house, or strong creator background)
Demonstrated experience publishing and managing content across multiple platforms and brands
Comfortable on camera with regular video content as part of your workflow
Strong written communication and a clear feel for brand voice across different contexts
Required hands-on experience with project management platforms — ClickUp, Monday, Trello, Asana, or similar
Proactive ownership mindset — you don't wait to be assigned tasks, you see what needs to happen and run it
Detail orientation and follow-through
Comfort working with creative, opinionated personalities and front-line talent
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with social scheduling tools (Sprout, Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar)
Video editing experience (CapCut, Descript, Premiere)
YouTube channel management experience
Familiarity with the legal industry, professional services marketing, or B2B media
Event social experience (live coverage, conference content) — directly relevant to PIMCON and PIM Summit
Experience supporting a founder/personal brand
Benefits
Starting Salary of $70,000
Fully Remote
Unlimited PTO
$100 Wellness Reimbursement Program
Quarterly training stipend for Professional Development
401(k) with 3% Employer match (Safe Harbor)
100% Employer-Paid Health Insurance
